What Is a Fanless Barebones PC?
A fanless barebones PC is a compact computer that has no cooling fan. Heat leaves the chassis through a passive metal enclosure. A barebones PC ships without some components, such as RAM, storage or an operating system, so the buyer can add them. The Thinvent range includes fanless industrial PCs and mini PCs built on this design.

Memory options run from 8 GB to 64 GB of DDR4. Storage options run from 256 GB to 1 TB SSD. The IPC5 models are available with Dual LAN. Some models include Dual Band WiFi, and others have no WiFi.
The Thinvent Micro 5R thin client and Micro 6 Pro mini PC use ARM® Cortex A53 and Cortex A55 processors. They run Thinux™ Embedded Linux and use eMMC storage.

Fanless PCs suit factory floors, kiosks, digital signage, machine control and edge computing. Without a fan, the unit has no moving parts to collect dust, and it runs in dusty or warm environments. The IPC5 and IPC3 suit tasks that need a full x86 processor. The Micro series suits thin client and light embedded tasks.
